Maffei
Nestled along Olivet Road in the heart of the Russian River Valley, Maffei Vineyard is a historic site revered for its old vine Zinfandel. Registered with the Historic Vineyard Society, the vineyard was first planted in 1928 by Italian immigrants Umberto and Maria Maffei, who fulfilled their dream of owning land after arriving in the U.S. in 1912. Story
The Maffei Vineyard located on Olivet Road in the Russian River Valley is a historic site showcasing old vine Zinfandel. Registered by the Historic Vineyard Society, the gnarly head-trained vines were planted in 1928 by Umberto and Maria Maffei. Now, three generations later, their granddaughter Joanne Maffei manages these vines which continue to produce world-class grapes.
