Solar Power
826 solar panels provide full energy coverage from April through September and about 70% in winter and we are actively transitioning our equipment to electric power.

This dedication extends beyond the vineyard to every stage of a wine’s journey—from soil to bottle. Inspired by centuries-old sustainable, organic, and Biodynamic® farming practices, our estate integrates modern innovations such as solar energy, water recycling, waste reduction, and environmentally conscious packaging to ensure a lighter footprint and a lasting legacy.
The California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance (CSWA) has been a leader in promoting sustainable winegrowing practices within the California wine industry since 2003. Created by Wine Institute and the California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG), CSWA is a nonprofit organization that encourages adoption of sustainable winegrowing practices and communicates the California wine industry’s global leadership through education, outreach, certification, and partnerships.

We save nearly two million of gallons of water annually through our bioreactor and rainwater storage, practice deficit irrigation in the vineyard, use soil moisture probes, evapotranspiration stations and direct water status measurements to target the precise amount of water needed by the vines.
We are working toward a Net Zero solid waste program and currently divert nearly 80% of waste from landfills by including an onsite single-stream recycling trailer, grape pomace is composted into organic soil amendments for local farms and used barrels are repurposed for winemaking, furniture or planters.
10% of the estate is dedicated to diverse plantings including our one-acre Theater of Nature demonstration garden.
With organic pesticides and integrative pest management practices, we foster beneficial insect populations including bat and owl boxes providing habitat for these helpful hunters.
Soil health is built by increasing organic matter and encouraging microbial biodiversity through biodynamic infused compost preparations.
