The Pennacchio Vineyard is located in the cool southwestern reaches of the Sebastopol hills. The vineyard is on an easterly facing slope beneath coastal ridges that protect it from the ocean’s cooling fog. The vineyard is planted with a single Pinot Noir selection - Clone 115 - on Saint George root- stock. This unusual pairing of clone and rootstock contributes to a more robust growth, delayed ripening and larger clusters. The fruit from this vineyard is the very definition of our focus on terroir.
The 2022 Pinot Noir from the Pennacchio Vineyard captivates the senses with distinctive and immersive aromas, where warm nutmeg, fragrant allspice, and zesty orange peel intertwine in perfect harmony. The palate is enriched with bold and juicy fruit flavors, featuring luscious cherry, bright raspberry, and succulent plum, elegantly accented by whispers of aromatic baking spices, toasted almond, and creamy vanilla bean. This luxurious wine boasts a refined, velvety texture with seamlessly integrated acidity. The finish glows with vibrant energy, leaving a lingering impression of fresh berry nuances.
